Scratchy Cat hands back a Scratch project.

ScratchyCat is a tiny text format that maps straight onto Scratch blocks. An AI reads the format, writes a project, drops in image links as costumes, and gets a real .sb3 file to open at scratch.mit.edu.

1. Read the format

The AI asks for the ScratchyCat reference: every motion, looks, control, event, sensing and variable line it can write.

2. Write the project

It writes plain text — sprites, scripts, variables, and image URLs that become costumes. No guessing at file formats.

3. Get the .sb3

Send the text over and a real Scratch project comes back as a download link that lasts 10 days.

One statement per line, two-space indents for anything nested. Values in quotes, conditions in angle brackets, reporters in parentheses.

Images become costumes

Any public PNG, JPG, GIF or SVG link in the text is downloaded and packed into the project as a costume or backdrop — up to 60 images, 8 MB each.

Links last 10 days

Every build gets its own download link, good for 10 days. Then it disappears. Nothing to sign up for, whether it's one project or a million.
